Image
Octopus Party Nail Lacquer  has a mini-release of Halloween Shimmer Creams  and you can order them right now through Sunday in the Facebook group   The Octosquad .  Each of these dries with a naturally matte finish and is quite opaque. Let's check them out! *purchased with blogger discount* Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Caribou  is a black with green-gold shimmer. I wore it in two thin coats but it will cover in one careful coat. It dries with a semi-matte finish on its own but I am showing it here with top coat. Nice, quick-drying formula. Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Debaser  is a hot pink matte with gold shimmer. It is shown here in its natural matte state in two thin coats. Nice, medium-quick-drying formula. Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Velouria is a violet matte with gold shimmer, shown here in two thin coats, but one careful coat will cover. It is slightly thicker and more opaque than Debaser . It dries quickly. Each of these is available for preorder right now through  Sunday  in t...

Indie Lacquer Volume 4 Swatches and Review

Image
Indie Lacquer  is a newer indie polish brand that launched in December 2017. I have had my eye on the brand since the beginning and bought all the shimmers and holos so far - they have been so pretty and well done! Not only that, but the price point is amazing - only $7  per polish. Let's check out Volume 4 , the fourth collection, set to release on Friday, June 22 .  *sent by the maker for photography and review* Indie Lacquer I Pink I Can  is a hot magenta jelly with blue shimmer. It has a squishy jelly look and I wore it in three thin coats, but honestly it looked the same with two. It has a medium-to-fast dry time and a lovely, bright shimmer. I recommend thin coats with this one. Indie Lacquer It's Going to Be a Grey Day  is a battleship gray matte with blue-to-magenta duochrome microflakes. I wore it with three thin coats but two will do. It has a medium-to-fast dry time and self levels perfectly. Indie Lacquer Lilac You a Lot  is a muted purple with pink shimmer and gold...

We are closing in on the final rounds of items for the upcoming Polish Pickup! Polish Pickup  is a Facebook group and pop up shop that involves indie polish and craft makers producing items based on themes voted in by the group. They are available for a pre-order, this time from 11AM EDT, May 4 to 11:59PM EDT May 7 . Moonflower Polish  is a newbie to Polish Pickup  and her first offering is a mega-hot neon stamping polish with shifting shimmers. Let's look! *sent by the maker for photography and review* Moonflower Polish I Just Can't Wait  is a pastel neon coral stamping polish with purple-to-green duochrome shimmers, purple-to-gold aurora pigments, and blue-gold duochrome microflakes. It will cover in one or two coats as a regular polish. As to be expected, it is on the thicker side due to it being intended for stamping, but it definitely works as a regular shade, too. It dries matte but is shown here with top coat. It tends to dry down slightly warmer and less pink than it ap...
