Voyage PolishPak, a New Indie Brand!

Image
I am lucky enough to co-admin a facebook group called Mainstream Nail Polish Aisle   with two lovely fellow polish lovers, one of whom is Sarah Smith. Sarah recently helped me locate some Color Club  holos I had been looking for and some things from Indie Shop Seattle  and told me she was sticking one of her own polishes in the box for me to try. I remembered opening the box and finding this incredibly beautiful, gorgeously packaged multichrome called Voyage PolishPak 17 Cape Town  and pm'ed her and said "IS THIS YOURS?" It sure was! Ladies, we have a new indie with serious talent here. Luckily, it is no longer going to be a secret, and Sarah is making her polish debut at Indie Shop San Antonio  this Saturday, October 13 . Let me share my experience with you and get you excited! *gift from the maker* PolishPak  started off with travel rolls for packing polish and other travel odds and ends on etsy, and you can still find those goodies in a variety of patterns on the site

The  Polish Pickup  is a Facebook group and pop-up shop that offers monthly pre-orders of indie polish made to themes voted on by members of the group. Today I have my last polish to show you, a lovely, sparkly magnetic from Pretty Beautiful Unlimited! *sent by the maker for photography and review* Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Just One Bite  is a black with blue-to-magenta duochrome magnetic shimmer, holo microflakes, holo shimmer, and multichrome iridescents flakes. The magnetic shimmer tends to look bluer when magnetized and more purple when not, which is cool! I photographed it both ways. It does have a little bit of texture but a single layer of top coat smooths it. Fast dry time and good formula and I wore it in two thin coats. Inspiration:   the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves Price: $10 or $12.50 with bar magnet Capped at 250 bottles sold

This time I have Ever After's Cuticle Crelly  to show you! *sent by the maker for photography and review* Ever After Cuticle Crelly Bewitching  is a cinnamon, sandalwood, and patchouli scent. It is spicy and rich and works as a unisex fragrance. I like to use the Cuticle Crelly  as a general skin cream and it is quick-absorbing and non-greasy. You also get a sample of the next month, which is a great way to see if you will like it! The sample is Buttered Rum , which smells just like it sounds. I wore it in two thin coats, but one careful coat might cover. It needs top coat for shine. This polish can be purchased with or without a bar magnet. Nice quick, dry time. The inspiration is Smaug from the Hobbit. It indeed has that firey, shifty look! Let's check out  Anchor & Heart Lacquer's  offering, a lovely thermal! *sent by the maker for photography and review* Anchor & Heart Lacquer Can I Have the Secret Formula?  is a seafoam green (warm) to steel teal (dark) thermal with gold flakes, shimmer, and shred glitter, as well as red microglitter, and teal holo microglitter. I wore it in three thin coats, but two will do. It dries matte with a slight amount of texture but is shown here with one coat of top coat. Nice formula with a quick dry time and easy removal. Note that thermals have a normal life expectancy of 6 to 12 months, so be sure you like a polish in both shades if you expect to use it longer than that. This
