Polish Pickup  is back from vacation and the  August 2018  theme for this release is  Musicals!   Polish Pickup  is a Facebook group and pop up shop that involves indie polish and craft makers producing items based on themes voted in by the group. The shop will be open from  August 3 at 11AM EDT to August 6 at 11:59 PM EDT . My next feature is a cheerful pink holo foil from Leesha's Lacquer  that is actually bubblegum scented! *sent by the maker for photography and review* Leesha's Lacquer 2 Pure 2 Be Pink  is an amaranth pink foil with scattered holo shimmer and silver and darker pink microflakes. I wore it in three thin coats, but two will do. It has a nice formula that requires a single layer of top coat to smooth. And it has a pleasant bubblegum scent when dry! It is super vibrant and has a nice, quick-drying formula. I wore it in three thin coats for maximum depth, but two will do. It is inspired by Footloose . This time I have an amazing, bright thermal polish from Grace-full Nail Polish! *sent by the maker for photography and review* Grace-full Nail Polish Magical Muses  is a grape (cool) to magenta (warm) thermal with pink-to-gold duochrome aurora pigment. The transition is dramatic and easy and the shimmer really sparkles. The shift of the cool-warm shimmer makes the magenta drift between cool and warm, as well. This polish is magical! I wore it in three thin coats, but two will do, and it had a great formula. This is inspired by Xanadu . I wore it in three thin coats, but two will do. This is so bright it is impossible to convey with a camera. The color in my pics is accurate, but just turn the intensity up to 11 in your mind! I wore it in three thin coats for maximum glitter, but two will do. There is no problem getting plenty of glitter out. It needs a layer or two of top coat for smoothness because of the glitter. Recently the indie nail polish community lost a beloved member, the blogger Moni of Moni's Mani , after a sudden and catastrophic illness that required a long, expensive hospitalization. Moni had been a wonderful supporter of indie polish brands and her fellow bloggers and leaves behind a young son and grieving husband. The Facebook group, Indies to the Rescue  has jumped back into life and numerous indie polish makers have donated polishes to support Moni's family. Great Lakes Lacquer  has donated multiple bottles of three small batches that she had sold recently at Polish Pickup White Plains 2018 . A friend of mine had picked them up for me (thanks, Kate!) and Mariah asked me to photograph them so you can see swatches and hopefully bid to support Moni's family!
